Maruti Suzuki, M&M slide as premium models fail international crash test
Maruti scrip plunged 3.6 per cent to hit a low of Rs 3,800 on the BSE. M&M shares fell 1.53 per cent to a low of Rs 1,320.75 on the bourses.

A crash test executed by Global New Car Assessment Program gave zero rating to Maruti’s Celerio and Eeco and M&M’s Scorpio.
In reaction to the development, the Maruti scrip plunged 3.6 per cent to hit a low of Rs 3,800 on the BSE. M&M shares fell 1.53 per cent to a low of Rs 1,320.75 on the bourses.
“Mahindra Scorpio scored zero star in the adult occupant protection and two stars in child occupant protection,” GNCAP said.
“The non-airbag Eeco scored zero star in the adult occupant protection and one star in child occupant protection.”
