Maruti Suzuki falls 4% on dismal Nov sales

MUMBAI: Maruti Suzuki shares took a beating Monday after the automaker posted dismal sales for the month of November.

Maruti Suzuki registered 24.4 per cent fall in total sales at 52,711 vehicles in November 2008 as against 69,699 a year earlier. Domestic sales fell 26.9 per cent to 47,704 vehicles, from 65,216 in the same period a year ago while exports grew 11.7 per cent to 5007 vehicles.

At 10:20 am, the stock was down 4.10 per cent at Rs 513.90 with volume traded at 49955 against two-week average of 220526 shares.
