Markets now: Over 30 stocks at fresh 52-week low in morning session

As many as 34 companies on the NSE hit their fresh 52-week low in morning trade on Thursday. The list included stocks such as HPCL, BPCL, Talwalkar Better, Transwarr Fin, Diamond Power, Bombay Rayon, Magadh Sugar & Energy Ltd, Gitanjali Gems, Dhampur Sugar, Bharat Electronics, Dwarikesh Sugar and MRPL.

The NSE Nifty was up 37 points at 10,563 at around 10.30 am. The BSE Sensex rose 107 points to 34,439 at around the same time.

On the other hand, VIP Industries, Merck Ltd, Mishra Dhatu Nigam (MIDHANI), Focus Lighting and Fixtures, Zenith Exports, Shrenik, Asian Hotels (W), MindTree, Bharat Dynamics and Shakti Pumps scaled their fresh 52-week high.


In the Nifty 50 pack, Hindalco Industries, Vedanta, UltraTech Cement, Tata Steel, Grasim Industries, HCL Tech, Zee and ONGC were among top gainers on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

However, HPCL, BPCL, Indian Oil Corporation, Titan, Axis Bank, Lupin, Sun Pharma and Bajaj Auto were among top losers of the index.

In the BSE 500 space, 295 stocks were trading in the green while 193 were in the grip of bears.
