Markets Now: Metal stocks shine; SAIL, Vedanta, JSPL surge up to 3%
All the metal stocks were trading in positive territory in the morning trade on Friday. The S&P BSE Metal was trading 1.26 per cent up at 13,749.65 at around 10:10 AM.

Shares of Steel Authority of India ( SAIL) was up 3.37 per cent, followed by Vedanta (up 2.08 per cent), Jindal Steel & Power (up 1.99 per cent), Hindalco Industries (up 1.90 per cent), National Aluminium Company (up 1.23 per cent), NMDC (up 1.19 per cent), JSW Steel (up 0.92 per cent), Hindustan Zinc (up 0.87 per cent), Tata Steel (up 0.44 per cent) and Coal India (up 0.06 per cent).

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 69.70 points at 10236.4.

Among the 50 stocks in Nifty index, 44 were trading in the green, while 6 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Reliance Comm, Vakrangee Soft., Future Cons Ent, JP Associates, Suzlon Energy, Tata Motors, SAIL, M&M, RattanIndia Power were among most traded securities in the early trade on the National Stock Exchange on Friday.

BSE Sensex was up 206.24 points at 33155.45.

Shares of Riddhi Siddhi, Mewar Hi-Tech Engineering Ltd., Sampre Nutrition, Motor Gen Fin, Provogue India, Sterling Tools, Haryana Capfin, Super Fine Knitters Ltd., Aditya Consumer Marketing and Permanent Magnet hit their fresh 52-week high in today's trade, while Wheel Axle Text, Steel Exchange, V B Industries Ltd., Yamini Invst, Bharati Ship, Universal Credit Sec, SRS Ltd, Quest Financial Services Ltd., Sparc Systems, Eastern Gases hit fresh 52-week low.
