Market rangebound; JHS Svendgaard, GE Shipping among stocks that hit fresh 52-week high

NEW DELHI: The NSE Nifty index was trading 9.25 points down at 9,095.90 in Wednesday's trade around 1 pm (IST). Overall, 23 shares were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red.

Shares of Hilton Metal, JHS Svendgaard, Sambhaav Media, Gillanders Arbu, Vivimed Labs, Marathon Nextgen, Jain Irrigation, GE Shipping, Vimta Labs, Kamat Hotels, Vinati Organics, and Jain Irrigation touched their fresh 52-week high.

On the other hand, Sita Shree Food, Signet Ind, 8K Miles Soft, Religare, Viji Finance, L&T Technology Services Ltd., ATN Intnl, Shekhawati Poly, FCS Software, Rasoya Proteins, Anjani Portland, and SRS Ltd hit their new 52-week low levels during the day.

In the Nifty 50 index, PowerGrid, Bharti Infratel, NTPC, Adani Ports SEZ, Tata Power, Coal India Ltd, HCL Tech, Zee Ent., HDFC, ACC, Maruti Suzuki, and GAIL were among the top gainers, while Aurobindo Pharma, Kotak Bank, Infosys, TCS, Hero MotoCorp, UltraTech Cem., Bosch, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Axis Bank, Tech Mahindra, SBI and Bank of Baroda were trading in the red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 16.57 points down at 29,302.53.

Traders were seen piling up positions in shipping, petrochemicals, power, infrastructure and personal care sectors, while selling was visible in engineering, consumer durables and plastics.
