Market Now: Unitech, Sobha among top losers in the Nifty Realty index

NEW DELHI: Realty stocks Prestige Estates Projects (down 3.49 per cent), Unitech (down 2.33 per cent), Sobha (down 0.82 per cent), Phoenix Mills (down 0.36 per cent) and Godrej Properties (down 0.17 per cent) were trading in the red in afternoon trade on Wednesday.

On the other hand, shares of DLF (up 2.04 per cent), Oberoi Realty (up 0.47 per cent), Housing Development & Infrastructure (up 0.41 per cent) and Delta Corp (up 0.32 per cent) were trading up.

The Nifty Realty index was trading 0.11 per cent up at 309 around 12:30 pm (IST). Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was 2 points down at 10,348, while the BSE Sensex was 18 points up at 33,388.

Among the 51 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 27 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.

Over 50 stocks, including Ashoka Buildcon, Axis Bank, Goa Carbon and KPIT Technologies hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE in Wednesday's morning trade even as equity markets reflected cautious sentiments.

On the contrary, Cambridge Technology Enterprises, Dena Bank, Equitas Holdings, Jubilant Industries and Strides Shasun were among those 15 stocks that hit fresh 52-week lows in Wednesday's trade so far.

Tech Mahindra, Cipla, Sun Pharma, Axis Bank, Asian Paints and Bharti Infratel were among the top gainers in the Nifty50 index.

However, Bharti Airtel, YES Bank, Vedanta, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation, Reliance Industries and Bharat Petroleum Corporation were the top losers in the Nifty50 pack.
