Market now: Top sectors and stocks buzzing in trade today

NEW DELHI: Among the sectoral indices, BSE Oil & Gas (Up 0.6 per cent), BSE Realty ( up 0.32 per cent), BSE Capital Goods ( up 0.27 per cent), BSE Teck ( up 0.15 per cent), BSE Information Technology (up 0.14 per cent), BSE Telecom (up 0.04 per cent), BSE Healthcare (up 0.03 per cent) and BSE Auto (up 0.03 per cent) stood as top gainers in Wednesday's trade at 10.30 am (IST).

On the other hand, BSE Metal (down 0.82 per cent), BSE Fast Moving Consumer Goods (down 0.43 per cent), BSE Power (down 0.18 per cent), BSE Consumer Durables (down 0.17 per cent) and BSE Bankex (down 0.06 per cent) were trading in red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 25.84 points up at 31129.33 on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Among the 51 components in the Nifty index, 19 shares were in green, while 32 were trading in red around the same time.

Shares of Dhunseri Invst, Jindal Worldwide, Sarda Plywood, Simplex Project, Bombay Burmah, Swaraj Engines, Universal Autofoundry Ltd., Lux Industries Ltd., Solid Stone, PG Electroplast and Talwalkar Fitn hit their fresh 52-week highs in Wednesday 's trade.

However, Alchemist Ltd, Ortel Communications Ltd., Rollatainers Ltd, Shilpi Cable Tec, Econo Trade (I), Omkar Speciality, Pochiraju Ind, B2B Software, Nimbus Foods, DS Kulkarni Dev, Eins Edutech and Videocon Ind touched their fresh 52-week lows.
