Market Now: These stocks surge up to 20% today

NEW DELHI: Shares of Sarda Energy & Minerals (up 20 per cent), Autoline Industries (up 19.99 per cent), GPT Infraprojects (up 19.98 per cent), Onelife Capital Advisors (up 19.95 per cent), Mawana Sugars (up 19.95 per cent), Metkore Alloys & Industries (up 19.70 per cent) and Tulsi Extrusions (19.18 per cent) surged up to 20 per cent in Monday's trade on NSE.

JP Associates (up 14.20 per cent), Centrum Capital (up 13.88 per cent), Mangalam Timber (up 13.72 per cent), P G Foils (up 13.65 per cent), Gammon Infra (up 13.41 per cent), Ruttonsha International (up 13.41 per cent) and Uttam Sugar Mills (up 13.15 per cent) also gained strongly.

Benchmark Nifty and Sensex stayed positive due to firm support from realty, banking and metal stocks.

On BSE, BSE MidCap and BSE Sensex Next 50 hit their fresh all-time highs of 15,616 and 34,419, respectively.

IT stocks continue to experience selling pressure in frontline bluechip counters such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro and tech Mahindra. Appreciating rupee against dollar is seen as one the major reasons behind the slump in IT stocks.

Nifty50 and Sensex were trading marginally higher.

Benchmark Nifty50 index was 12 points up at 10,078, while the 30-share Sensex was 27 points up at 32,352 around 2.40 pm (IST).

In the Nifty50 pack, 23 stocks were trading in green, while 28 stocks were in red.
