Market Now: These stocks crack up to 10% on Friday

NEW DELHI: Shares of Alora Trading Company (down 9.95 per cent), Kanco Enterprises (down 8.54 per cent), H K Trade International (down 8.54 per cent), Velan Hotels (down 8.38 per cent), Gujarat NRE Coke (down 8.24 per cent) and Bronze InfraTech (down 8.11 per cent) cracked up to 10 per cent on NSE in Friday's trade amid a subdued market.

Other stocks such as Nu Tek India (down 7.78 per cent), Gammon Infra (down 7.74 per cent), India Cements (down 7.54 per cent), CIL Nova Petro (down 7.38 per cent), Hester Biosciences (down 7.37 per cent) and Terai Tea (down 7.02 per cent) slipped over 7 per cent.

The overall market remained in the negative zone as August derivatives series began on a subdued note amid disappointing earnings by corporates.

Barring PSU Bank and IT index, all other sectoral indices were in red on NSE.

In the Nifty chart, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (down 5.83 per cent) was trading as the biggest loser after it reported over 57 per cent drop in net profit for Q1FY18.

However bucking the negative trend of the market, Yes Bank (up 2.53 per cent) stood as top gainer in the Nifty50 index after it reported a robust 32 per cent rise in net profit to Rs 966 crore in the quarter through June.

Benchmark Nifty50 index was 51 points down at 9,969, while the 30-share Sensex was 201 points down at 32,182 around 1.20 pm (IST).

In the Nifty50 pack, 15 stocks were trading in green, while 35 stocks were in red.

On BSE, 1,157 stocks were advancing whereas 1,303 stocks were lagging.
