Market Now: These stocks crack over 6% in lackluster market

NEW DELHI: Thursday's lackluster trade weighed on shares of Genus Power Infrastructures (down 8.62 per cent), N K Industries (down 6.31 per cent), Century Extrusions (down 6.19 per cent) and PBA Infrastructure (down 6.04 per cent) as they cracked over 6 per cent on NSE.

Urja Global (down 5.56 per cent), Religare (down 5.03 per cent), Keynote Corp (down 5 per cent) and Malwa Cotton (down 5 per cent) also tanked over 5 per cent.

Cautious sentiment prevailed in domestic equity market ahead of August derivatives expiry and release of key macroeconomic data later in the day.

Bank, pharma and FMCG stocks appeared vanquished.

However, mild bouts of buying in auto and realty stocks brought moments of occasional choppiness for benchmarks.

Both Nifty and Sensex were trading almost flat at 9,885 and 31,645, respectively, around 2.10 pm (IST).

Bharti Infratel, Coal India, Mahindra & Mahindra, Bosch and Bank of Baroda declined over 1 per cent in the Nifty50 index.

In the Nifty50 pack, 22 stocks were trading in green, while 28 stocks were in red.
