Market Now: Shares of DLF, PNB, SBI soar in volume

Shares of DLF (number of shares traded: 0.39 crore), Punjab National Bank (0.32 crore), SBI (0.31 crore), Infosys (0.28 crore), Tata Motors (0.27 crore), Ashok Leyland (0.26 crore), SAIL (0.17 crore), ONGC (0.15 crore), Vedanta Ltd (0.15 crore), Bank of Baroda (0.14 crore), Tata Power (0.13 crore), BHEL (0.13 crore), NMDC (0.13 crore), Idea Cellular (0.12 crore) and PFC (0.11 crore) were among the most traded securities in the early trade on the National Stock Exchange on Monday.

Shares of DLF hogged limelight after ETNow reported that Rs 9,000 crore to be infused into the company by December 29. The real estate player will hold an EGM on December 27 to facilitate capital infusion.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 7.85 points up at 10,129.65, while BSE Sensex was up 51.46 points at 32884.4 around 09:55AM (IST) on December 04.

In the Nifty index, Indiabulls Housing Finance (up 2.99 per cent), Infosys (up 2.49 per cent), Tata Motors (up 2.03 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation (up 1.75 per cent) and Bharti Airtel (up 1.18 per cent) were among top gainers, while Bajaj Finance (down 1.75 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone (down 1.36 per cent), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (down 1.36 per cent), Wipro (down 1.28 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (down 1.25 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
