Market Now: Sensex, Nifty tread higher; these stocks gain over 10%

NEW DELHI: Shares of Visesh Infotecnics (25 per cent), Renaissance Jewellery (11.33 per cent) and FCS Software (10 per cent) were among the top gainers on NSE in morning trade on Thursday, reflecting the bullish market sentiment.

Shares of Shekhawati Poly-Yarn (8.33 per cent), Capital Trust (8.01 per cent), Bombay Dyeing (7.85 per cent), Anik Industries (7.59 per cent), Celestial Biolabs (6.84 per cent), TTK Healthcare (6.78 per cent), Goenka Diamond (6.25 per cent), LT Foods (6.24 per cent) and Salzer Electro (6.09 per cent) rallied up to 8 per cent on the NSE.

Equity benchmarks were trading in the higher territory, backed by buying across sectors, with metal, bank and financial stocks among the leaders.


The NSE Nifty index was trading 78 points up at 10,579, while the BSE Sensex was 246 points up at 34,402 around 10:20 am (IST).

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty50 pack, 40 were trading in the green, while 10 were in the red.

Hindalco Industries, Vedanta, ICICI Bank, YES Bank and Bharti Infratel were among the top gainers in the Nifty50 index.

However, Asian Paints, Hero MotoCorp, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Wipro, Aurobindo Pharma were among the top losers in the Nifty pack of stocks.
