Market Now: RIL, HDFC among most active stocks in terms of value
Most active stocks in terms of value helps investors to identify the stocks with highest trading turnover during the day.

NEW DELHI: Shares of Divi's Lab (Rs 327.15 crore), Reliance Industries (Rs 78.72 crore) and HDFC (Rs 70.52 crore) were trading as the most active stocks in terms of value on NSE in Wednesday's early trade.
Sun Pharma (Rs 58.39 crore), Bharat Petroleum Corporation (Rs 54.79 crore), ITC (Rs 54.07 crore), Vedanta (Rs 53.90 crore), Maruti Suzuki (Rs 47.14 crore), Shriram Transport Finance (Rs 45.47 crore), YES Bank (Rs 44.40 crore), Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) (Rs 44.15 crore) and Dr Reddy's Labs (Rs 41.33 crore) were the other major stocks in the league.
Key equity benchmarks registered a positive start but turned cautious following mixed Asian cues.
Metal, pharma and FMCG stocks witnessed selling. Realty stocks, however, extended their bullish run of the previous session. Indiabulls Real Estate gained up to 3 per cent in the early trade.
The Nifty50 index was trading 11 points lower at 9,860, while the 30-share Sensex was 27 points down at 31,573 around 9.43 am (IST).
Among the gainers of the Nifty50 index, Ambuja Cements led with the gains of 2 per cent. Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum Corporation, ACC, GAIL and Maruti Suzuki saw decent gains of 1 per cent.
On the other hand, Sun Pharma, Adani Ports, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Coal India and Vedanta emerged as the top losers of the Nifty index.
Meanwhile, the rupee on Wednesday opened 9 paise up at 64.36 against the dollar on account of selling of American currency by banks and exporters.
On the NSE, 980 stocks were advancing, compared with 498 stocks declining and 467 stocks remaining unchanged.
On BSE, 1,107 stocks were advancing whereas 525 stocks were lagging and 70 stocks were appearing unchanged.
