Market now: Realty stocks buck trend; Sobha, Indiabulls Real Estate among top gainers

NEW DELHI: Real estate stocks extended their gains for the second straight day despite a lacklustre trading session on Wednesday.

The S&P BSE Realty was trading 0.41 per cent up at 2,102.77 around 01:50 pm (IST). Shares of Sobha Ltd, Indiabulls Real Estate, Omaxe, Prestige Estates Projects and Housing Development & Infrastructure were among top gainers in the real estate space.

However, Oberoi Realty, Unitech, Godrej Properties, DLF and Phoenix Mills were among top losers in the index at around the same time.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 41.50 points at 9,612, while BSE Sensex was 87.83 points down at 31209.7.

Among the 51 stocks in Nifty index, 17 were trading in green, while 34 were in red.
