Market Now: PNB, Gitanjali Gems among stocks that hit 52-week lows

Punjab National Bank, State Bank of India, YES Bank, Ashok Leyland and Bank of Baroda were among the most traded stocks on the NSE.

YES Bank, Maruti Suzuki India, Eicher Motors, Bharat Petroleum Corporation and State Bank of India were among the top losers in the Nifty index.
NEW DELHI: Over 20 stocks including Punjab National Bank, Corporation Bank, Dena Bank, Electrosteel Steels and Gitanjali Gems hit fresh 52-week lows on NSE during Friday's trade.

Shares of kwality, Lakshmi Vilas Bank, Bank of Maharashtra, SRS, Syndicate Bank and Union Bank of India also joined the bandwagon of the stocks that hit fresh 52-week lows on NSE.

Equity markets were cautious as investors took a pause and noticed rising bond yields. Moreover, heavy selling was observed in bank and auto stocks.


The NSE Nifty index was trading 7 points down at 10,539, while BSE Sensex was down 23 points at 34,274 around 11:15 pm (IST).

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 20 were trading up, while 30 were

Punjab National Bank, State Bank of India, YES Bank, Ashok Leyland and Bank of Baroda were among the most traded stocks on the NSE.

Ambuja Cements, Tata Consultancy Services, HCL Technologies, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack of stocks.

On the other hand, YES Bank, Maruti Suzuki India, Eicher Motors, Bharat Petroleum Corporation and State Bank of India were among the top losers in the Nifty index.
