Market Now: Paper stocks zoom; Star Paper Mills surges 20%

NEW DELHI: Paper stocks such as Star Paper Mills (up 20 per cent), Repro India (up 17.59 per cent), Ruchira Papers (up 16.38 per cent) and Malu Paper Mills (up 16.07 per cent) zoomed over 15 per cent in Monday's trade.

On the other hand, Balkrishna Paper Mills (up 14.20 per cent), Shreyans Industries (up 14 per cent), Tamil Nadu Newsprint & Papers (up 12.19 per cent), Sundaram Multi Pap (up 11.46 per cent) and Pudumjee Pulp & Paper Mills (up 10.71 per cent) surged over 10 per cent.

However, Archies (down 3.07 per cent), Sambhaav Media (down 2.17 per cent), Navneet Education (down 1.88 per cent) and DB Corp (down 0.65 per cent) appeared in the red around that time.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 27 points up at 10,293 around 01:20 pm (IST), while the 30-share BSE Sensex was 110 points up at 33,360.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 29 were trading in the green, while 21 were in the red.

Aurobindo Pharma, Mahindra & Mahindra, Lupin, Coal India, ITC, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, UltraTech Cement, Zee Entertainment Enterprises, State Bank of India and Wipro were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
