NEW DELHI: Over 285 stocks including Ambuja Cements, Adani Power, BHEL, Bosch, BSE and Cadila Healthcare hit fresh 52-week lows on NSE during Friday's trade.

Lupin, IDFC Bank, Bank of Maharashtra, MVL, Reliance Capital, Tata Motors and Union Bank of India were also among the stocks that hit fresh 52-week lows on NSE.

Equity benchmarks plunged, following other Asian stock markets, in the wake of an overnight fall in the US stocks after the US President Donald Trump signed a presidential memorandum on Thursday that could impose tariffs on up to $60 billion of imports from China.

Other factors, including political uncertainty, flow of several IPOs and concerns around macro-economic indicators, involving current account deficit (CAD) and GDP, have also contributed to the carnage in markets.

The BSE Sensex was 397 points down at 32,609, while NSE Nifty50 was 128 points down at 9,986 around 10:30 am (IST).

Out of total 50 stocks, 46 were in the red in the Nifty index.
