Market Now: Over 20 stocks hit fresh 52-week lows on NSE

Bharti Airtel, Infosys, Vedanta, Larsen & Toubro and UPL were among the top losers in the Nifty pack.

In the Nifty pack, 21 stocks were in the green, while 29 were in the red.
NEW DELHI: Over 20 stocks including Bombay Rayon Fashions, Galaxy Surfactants, Jain Studios and Jyoti Structures hit fresh 52-week lows on NSE during Friday's trade, reflecting the bearish stance of markets.

Sathavahana Ispat, Strides Shasun, Sterling Biotech, Supreme Infrastructure India and Supreme Tex Mart also joined the bandwagon of stocks that hit fresh 52-week lows on NSE.

Equity benchmarks were trading a little lower on account of profit-booking, however, a firm trend at other Asian markets, kept the fall limited.


The NSE Nifty index was trading 15 points down at 10,310, while the BSE Sensex was down 22 points at 33,575 around 12:40 pm (IST).

Pharma stocks were leading the pack of gainers. Majority of pharma stocks including Lupin, Aurobondo Pharma, Sun Pharma and DR Reddy's Labs were trading with gains.

In the Nifty index, BPCL, HPCL and Tata Motors were among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Bharti Airtel, Infosys, Vedanta, Larsen & Toubro and UPL were among the top losers in the Nifty pack.
