Market Now: Nearly 30 stocks hit fresh 52-week low today

NEW DELHI: Nearly 30 stocks, including Adhunik Industries, Apollo Hospitals, Easun Reyrolle, Lasa Supergenerics, Religare Enterprises, TV Vision and Videocon hit fresh 52-week low on NSE in Wednesday's trade.

On the other hand, Anik Industries, Bharat Forge, Deepak Nitrite, Premier Polyfilm and Rajesh Exports were among the 18 stocks that hit fresh 52-week high in trade so far.

Equity benchmark indices registered more losses during the afternoon session as Sensex cracked over 280 points and Nifty touched 9,784-mark on the downside.

Sustained selling across the sector kept the bourses depressed. Traders adopted a cautious stance ahead of September derivatives contract expiry tomorrow.

The Nifty50 index was trading 80 points lower at 9,792, while the 30-share Sensex was 273 points down at 31,326 around 1.10 pm (IST).

All sectoral indices were losing in trade, barring Nifty IT index that was up by 0.23 per cent at 10,572 around the same time.

Pharma, metal and bank stocks saw steep fall today. Nifty Pharma, metal and bank indices declined 1.92 per cent, 1.46 per cent and 1.16 per cent, respectively.

On the NSE, 473 stocks were advancing, compared with 1132 stocks declining and 356 stocks remaining unchanged.

On BSE, 741 stocks were advancing whereas 1,602 stocks were lagging and 134 stocks were appearing unchanged.
