Market Now: Over 10 stocks hit fresh 52-week lows on NSE

NEW DELHI: Over 10 stocks, including Bharati Defence and Infrastructure, Diligent Media Corporation, Lycos Internet, STEEL EXCHANGE INDIA and TV Vision hit fresh 52-week lows on NSE in Tuesday's trade so far.

On the contrary, over 70 stocks, including Aegis Logistics, Balaji Amines, Greenlam Industries and Hinduja Ventures hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE, defying the bearish market sentiment.

Equity benchmarks were in the negative zone owing to selling across sectors. Barring Nifty Metal and Nifty Pharma, all other sectoral indices were in the red on NSE.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 18 were in the green, while 32 were in the red.

Shares of Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Vedanta, GAIL, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation and Adani Ports were gaining in trade.

On the other hand, shares of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation, Bharti Infratel, Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum Corporation and ITC were trading in the red.
