Market Now: Oberoi Realty, Delta Corp top gainers among realty stocks

NEW DELHI: Shares of Oberoi Realty (up 3.45 per cent), Delta Corp (up 2.57 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects (up 1.65 per cent), Phoenix Mills (up 1.53 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate (up 1.47 per cent) were trading in the green in Tuesday's trade, keeping the Nifty Realty index firm.

The Nifty Realty index was trading 0.44 per cent up at 297 around 11:15 am (IST). Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was 27 points down at 10,337, while the BSE Sensex was 58 points down at 33,209.

However, some realty stocks such as Unitech (down 3.70 per cent), Housing Development & Infrastructure (down 1.85 per cent), Sobha (down 1.27 per cent), Godrej Properties (down 0.93 per cent) and DLF (down 0.08 per cent) were trading in the red around that time.

Besides Nifty Realty, Nifty Private Bank index was also in the green due to gains in Axis Bank, IDFC Bank, IndusInd Bank and YES Bank.

Shares of Axis Bank, HCL Tech, Ambuja Cements, IndusInd Bank, HDFC and ONGC were among the top gainers in the Nifty50 index.

However, Hindalco, Tata Steel, Bharti Infratel, HPCL, Infosys and Zee Entertainment were among the top losers among the Nifty stocks.
