Market Now: Nifty Realty index in the red; Indiabulls Real Estate top drag

NEW DELHI: Realty stocks Indiabulls Real Estate (down 2.17 per cent), DLF (down 1.59 per cent) and Phoenix Mills (down 1.08 per cent) were trading in the red in afternoon trade on Thursday, dragging the Nifty Realty index down.

The Nifty Realty index was trading 0.54 per cent down at 305 around 12:10 pm (IST).

Sobha (down 0.70 per cent), Godrej Properties (down 0.63 per cent), Delta Corp (down 0.36 per cent) and Oberoi Realty (down 0.19 per cent) also looked dull.

Prestige Estates Projects (up 2.69 per cent) and Housing Development & Infrastructure (up 2.45 per cent) were the two components in the Nifty Realty index that were in the green around that time.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was 3 points down at 10,300, while the BSE Sensex was 11 points down at 33,208.

Among the 51 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 27 were trading in the green, while 23 were in the red.

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Asian Paints, ICICI Bank, Reliance Industries and UPL were among the top gainers in the Nifty50 index.

On the contrary, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation, HDFC, Coal India, Aurobindo Pharma, Bajaj Finance and Axis Bank were the top losers among the Nifty stocks.
