Market Now: Nifty Realty down; Prestige Estates Projects plunges 7%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index was trading 0.73 per cent down at 320 around 01:45 pm (IST) on Tuesday, with Prestige Estates Projects (down 6.54 per cent) as the top loser.

Shares of Phoenix Mills (down 1.64 per cent), Oberoi Realty (down 1.09 per cent), Sobha (down 1.05 per cent) and Godrej Properties (down 0.97 per cent) were also trading down among the realty stocks.

However, shares of Delta Corp (up 2.39 per cent), Unitech (up 2.08 per cent), DLF (up 0.90 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate (up 0.14 per cent) were trading with gains in the realty index around that time.


Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was 22 points up at 10,400, while the BSE Sensex was 75 points up at 33,849.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 29 were trading in the green, while 21 were in the red.

Vedanta, Coal India, Infosys, UltraTech Cement and Bharti Airtel were among the top gainers in the Nifty50 index.

However, Mahindra & Mahindra, Aurobindo Pharma, Indiabulls Housing Finance, GAIL and BPCL were among the top losers in the Nifty pack of stocks.
