Market Now: Nearly 40 stocks hit fresh 52-week highs today
In the Nifty50 pack, 40 stocks were trading in green, while 11 stocks were in red.

NEW DELHI: Nearly 40 stocks, including Future Market, Bombay Dyeing, HEG, Agri-Tech (India), SMS Lifesciences India, Future Retail, Heritage Foods, Bajaj Holdings, Bajaj Finserv, Bharti Airtel and Tata Steel hit their fresh 52-week high in Monday's morning trade on NSE.
On the other hand, stocks such as Visagar Polytex, Servalakshmi Pap, Themis Medicare, J B Chem, Lakshmi Energy, Zicom Elec, E-Land Apparel, Nitin Fire Prot, Prakash Steel, BS Ltd, Megasoft, ESS DEE Aluminium, Chromatic India and KSS Ltd were among the 24 stocks that touched their fresh 52-week low.
Benchmark indices remained firm, backed by positive global cues and buying in pharma, IT and auto stocks.
Infosys, Eicher Motors, Adani Ports, NTPC, Sun Pharma, Indian Oil Corporation, Aurobindo Pharma, Bank of Baroda and Tech Mahindra gained over 1 per cent in the Nifty50 index.
Dr. Reddy's, Power Grid, Tata Consultancy Services, Bharat Petroleum Corporation and Indiabulls Housing Finance were losing in trade.
Benchmark Nifty50 index was 54 points up at 9,911, while the 30-share Sensex was 182 points up at 31,778 around 10.25 am (IST).

On BSE, 1,442 stocks were advancing whereas 593 stocks were lagging.
