NEW DELHI: Shares of Hisar Metal Ind, Consol Const., United Nilgiri, Bhansali Engg, Industrial Invst, Shyam Century Ferrous Ltd., Zota Healthcare Ltd., Manaksia Steels Ltd., Aspinwall and Company Ltd, Bata India, Bharat Forge, Dalmia Bharat, Maruti Suzuki, Titagarh Wagons and Saregama India hit their fresh 52-week high in early trade on NSE.

Country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India on Friday reported over 3 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 2,484.3 crore for the second quarter to September, hit by lower non-operating income. The company had reported a net profit of Rs 2,401.5 crore for the same period of the previous fiscal.

However, stocks such as TV Vision Ltd., Sri Adhikari, KSS Ltd, Infomedia Press, Vadilal Ind and Atlas Cycles touched their fresh 52-week low.

Overall, 38 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 12 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.

In the Nifty 50 index, SBI, BPCL, ONGC, Bharti Infratel, Hindalco Inds., YES Bank, Maruti Suzuki, UPL Ltd, HPCL, Ambuja Cements were among top gainers, while Indiabulls Housing Finance, Cipla, Wipro, Kotak Bank, Coal India Ltd, HDFC, Dr Reddys Labs, ITC, Axis Bank, Adani Ports SEZ were trading in red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 168.25 points up at 33,325.47.

Traders were seen piling up position in finance, textiles, equipments, leather, infrastructure, petroleum, cables, banks, telecommunications, retail sectors, while selling were visible in electronics, engineering, tyres, hospitality sectors.
