Market Now: ITC, Goa Carbons hit fresh 52-week high

NEW DELHI: More than 30 stocks hit their fresh 52-week high on NSE in Monday's morning trade.

The list includes stock such as Tokyo Plast International, SPML Infra, V Mart Retail, ITC, Goa Carbons, Emami Infra, Aditya Birla Money, Magnum Ventures, Graphite India, GVK Power Infra and HIL.

However, stocks such as LCC Infotech, DQ Entertainment, Central Depository Services (India) Ltd., Lanco Infratech, Accel Frontline, Dr. Lal Pathlabs Ltd., Religare and Coal India Ltd were among the 20 stocks that touched their fresh 52-week low.

Benchmark indices on Monday opened on a strong note, soon to pare gains, as investors greeted the GST cautiously, given the concerns over near-term disruption the new tax structure may bring on India Inc’s earnings.

Nifty50 index was 43 points up at 9,564, while the 30-share Sensex was 160 points up at 31,082 around 10 am (IST).

In the Nifty50 pack, 29 stocks were trading in green, while 22 stocks were in red.

Traders were seen buying in construction, tobacco, infrastructure and shipping sectors while selling were visible in aquaculture, glass, packaging, plastics and petrochemicals sectors.
