NEW DELHI: Shares of Infosys (Rs 233.09 crore) were leading the pack of the most active stocks in terms of value on NSE in Wednesday's morning trade.

It was followed by Concor (Rs 47.22 crore), DLF (Rs 45.74 crore), Apollo Hospital (Rs 37.23 crore), YES Bank (Rs 34.49 crore), Vedanta (Rs 32.19 crore), State Bank of India (Rs 30.87 crore), Axis Bank (Rs 30.34 crore), HDFC (Rs 27.28 crore), Bank of Baroda (Rs 27.17 crore), Reliance Industries (Rs 25.38 crore) and Hindalco Industries (Rs 25.35 crore).

Shares of Infosys got traction today after reports emerged that founder NR Narayana Murthy's would talk to investors and analysts in a conference call arranged by broker Investec India on Wednesday evening.

Murthy is expected to speak on issues related to the ongoing leadership crisis at Infosys sparked by the exit of its CEO, Vishal Sikka.

Benchmark indices opened green, backed by firm global cues and a fresh spell of buying in bank, realty, pharma and IT stocks.

Nifty Realty index (up 1.65 per cent) was the biggest gainer among sectoral indices.

All sectoral indices were in green on NSE.

Benchmark Nifty50 index was 40 points, or 0.40 per cent, up at 9,805, while the 30-share Sensex was 117 points, or 0.37 per cent, up at 31,409 around the same time.

In the Nifty50 pack, 39 stocks were trading in green, while 11 stocks were in red.

On BSE, 1,148 stocks were advancing whereas 474 stocks were lagging.
