On the contrary, Bata India, Bharat Forge, Birla Corporation, Dalmia Bharat, Delta Corp, Emami, Escorts, NIIT Technologies and Britannia Industries hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE in Tuesday's trade.
Equity benchmarks were trading flat amid mixed Asian cues.
Domestic benchmark Nifty50 was trading 8 points down at 10,356 around 10:05 am (IST) on Tuesday on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters.
The BSE Sensex was 3 points down at 33,263.
PSU bank, metal and auto indices were trading in the red on NSE.
In the Nifty index, Axis Bank, Power Grid, HCL Technologies, Ambuja Cements, YES Bank, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation, HDFC and IndusInd Bank were trading as the top gainers.
However, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation, Bharti Infratel, Coal India, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Tata Motors, GAIL, Mahindra & Mahindra and Tech Mahindra were among the top losers in the Nifty50 index.
