Market Now: BSE Telecom index extends gains; Tata Tele up 5%
Among the 51 stocks in Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.

The S&P BSE Telecom was trading 0.91 per cent up at 1,572 around 11.45 am (IST). Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 12.15 points at 10,243, while BSE Sensex was up 13 points at 32,646 around the same time.

However, some telecom stocks such as Vindhya Telelinks (down 0.89 per cent), Reliance Communications (down 0.59 per cent), Himachal Futuristic Communications (down 0.38 per cent) and ITI (down 0.10 per cent) were losing in trade.
On the NSE, Nu Tek India, Sujana Universal, Malwa Cotton, TV Vision, Sri Adhikari, Khaitan Elect, SAB Events & Governance Now Media, Hindustan Media, Vardhman Poly, Punjab Sind Bank, SBI Life Insurance Company and KSS hit their fresh 52-week lows on NSE.
However, Aries Agro, Onelife Capital, Sakuma Exports, JP Power, Maan Aluminium, Genus Paper & Boards, Sasken Comm, Saregama India, Sanwaria Agro, Marathon Nextgen, BASF India and National Build touched their fresh 52-week highs today.
On the BSE, 1,290 stocks were advancing whereas 1,061 stocks were lagging and 113 stocks were appearing unchanged.
