Market Now: BSE Oil & Gas index in the green; BPCL up 2%

NEW DELHI: Shares of Bharat Petroleum Corporation (up 1.92 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation (up 1.38 per cent), Castrol India (up 0.58 per cent), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (up 0.13 per cent) and Indraprastha Gas (up 0.10 per cent) were trading up in Monday's afternoon trade.

However, Oil India (down 0.57 per cent), Reliance Industries (down 0.36 per cent) and Petronet LNG (down 0.12 per cent) were losing in trade.

The S&P BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 0.41 per cent up at 15,689 around 02:31 pm (IST).

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 57 points at 10,224, while BSE Sensex was up 189 points at 32,622.

Among the 51 stocks in Nifty index, 34 were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.

Shares of Godrej Agrovet, Polo Queen Industrial and Fintech, Piccadily Agro, H K Trade International, Everest Ind, Aries Agro, Suven Life Sci, Porwal Auto Comp, Sahyadri Ind, Shree Ganesh Bio-Tech (India), Frontier Spring, Eon Electric hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
