Market Now: BSE Midcap index in the green; Sun TV, Bharat Forge up 2%

Shares of 3M India (up 4.67 per cent), ABB India (up 2.80 per cent), Sun TV Network (up 2.43 per cent), Bharat Forge (up 1.94 per cent), Torrent Power (up 1.74 per cent), Canara Bank (up 1.66 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise (up 1.58 per cent), Tata Global Beverages (up 1.55 per cent), Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals (up 1.49 per cent), Cummins India (up 1.49 per cent) and Steel Authority of India (SAIL) (up 1.38 per cent) were among the top gainers in the midcap index.
On the contrary, Vakrangee (down 5 per cent), Muthoot Finance (down 3.19 per cent), Union Bank of India (down 2.60 per cent), Adani Enterprises (down 2.36 per cent), Biocon (down 1.97 per cent), GE T&D India (down 1.55 per cent), United Breweries (down 1.36 per cent) and NBCC (India) (down 1.30 per cent) were among the top losers in the midcap index.
Equity markets were up on buying by investors in metal, capital goods, teck and IT stocks amid a mixed trend at other Asian Markets.
Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, Bharti Airtel, IndusInd Bank and Hero MotoCorp were among the top gainers in the Sensex index.
Sun Pharma, Reliance Industries, Maruti Suzuki and Mahindra & Mahindra were among the top losers in the Sensex kitty of stocks.
