Market flat; Tamil Nadu Petroproducts, Indoco Remedies among stocks that rally over 8% intraday

NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Sensex slipped in afternoon trade on Wednesday after hitting the 30,000 mark in early morning trade.

Shares of Muthoot Capital (up 8.01 per cent), Madras Fert (up 8.10 per cent), Jai Corp (up 8.36 per cent), V Mart Retail (up 8.51 per cent, Zee Media Corp (up 8.69 per cent), Readymade Steel (up 8.75 per cent), RattanIndia Infra (up 9.41 per cent), Sanwaria Agro (up 9.47 per cent), Prozone Intu (up 9.99 per cent), Pratibha Ind (up 10.48 per cent), Indoco Remedies (up 11.06 per cent), Tamil Nadu Petroproducts (up 13.10 per cent) were trading over 8 per cent higher in early trade.

In the Nifty 50 index, stocks such as Adani Ports SEZ (up 3.43 per cent), Bharti Infratel (up 3.10 per cent), Grasim Inds. (up 2.20 per cent), Tata Steel (up 2.19 per cent), Hindalco Inds. (up 1.76 per cent), NTPC (up 1.73 per cent), Maruti Suzuki (up 1.70 per cent), Bosch (up 1.39 per cent), Kotak Bank (up 1.39 per cent), RIL (up 1.32 per cent), Larsen & Toubro (up 1.21 per cent), UltraTech Cem. (up 0.90 per cent), Lupin (up 0.86 per cent), Zee Ent. (up 0.66 per cent), Tata Motors (up 0.66 per cent) were among the top gainers around 11.20 am.

The Nifty 50 index was up 6.15 points at 9,244 at around same time. Among the 50 components in the index, 31 were trading in green, while 20 were trading in red. The BSE Sensex was trading 1.99 points up at 29,912.21.
