Market breadth in favour of bears; 32 Nifty50 stocks in red

NEW DELHI: The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 28.75 points down at 8,764.8 on Monday on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Around 19 stocks were trading in green in the afternoon trade, while 32 shares were in red in the Nifty50 index.

On the other hand, 122 shares were trading in green in the Nifty500 index, while 374 shares were trading in red.

The 30-share BSE Sensex was trading 92.11 points down at 28242.14 around 12.30 pm (IST). In the BSE 500 index, 128 stocks ended the day in green, while 368 shares settled the day lower than their previous close.

In the Nifty50 pack, Hindalco Inds, Eicher Motors, Kotak Mahindra Bank, YES Bank and TCS were among top gainers. However, Bank of Baroda, Idea Cellular, BHEL, Aurobindo Pharm, and Coal India Ltd were trading in red.
