Lupin shares in focus as USFDA inspection at Somerset facility concludes with no observations

Lupin share price will remain in focus on Monday, February 3, as the company received no observation from the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) post completion of pre-approval inspection.

"Global pharma major Lupin Limited today announced that the United States Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) has completed a Pre-Approval Inspection (PAI) of Edaravone Oral Suspension, 105 mg/ 5 mL at its manufacturing facility in Somerset, New Jersey. The inspection was carried out from January 28 to February 1, 2025, and concluded with zero 483 observations," the company said in an exchange filing on February 1.

Earlier in January, the company received the Establishment Inspection Report (EIR) from USFDA for its Pithampur Unit-1 manufacturing facility which manufactures both APIs and finished products.

Lupin shares target price

As per Trendlyne data, the average target price of the stock is Rs 2,249, which shows an upside potential of 9% from the current market prices. The consensus recommendation from 36 analysts for the stock is a 'Buy'.

Lupin's stock performance

On Saturday, Lupin shares closed at Rs 2,055.1, down 1.2% on the BSE, while the benchmark Sensex surged 0.01%. The stock has declined 13% year-to-date but gained 179% in the last two years. The company’s market capitalization stands at Rs 93,763 crore.
