Lupin gains as Q2 PAT up 45% at Rs 406.2 crore
MUMBAI: Pharma major Lupin reported a 45 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 406.2 crore for the quarter ended September against a net profit of Rs 280 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal. The PAT was inline with ET Now poll estimate of Rs 2,650 crore.

Sales for the quarter increased to Rs 2,631.5 crore, up 17.5 per cent, as against Rs 2,239.3 crore in the same period a year-ago.

EBITDA margins increase to 24.7 per cent vs 20.6 per cent, Y-o-Y.

The company’s other income increased sharply to Rs 81.4 crore against Rs 4.3 crore, Year-on-Year (Y-o-Y). It reported forex gains of Rs 71 crore in September 2013 quarter.

US formulations revenues at showed a growth of 32 per cent at Rs 1,034.9 crore against Rs 781.8 crore, Y-o-Y.

The stock was at Rs 900.15, up 1.30 per cent, on the BSE . It touched a high of Rs 910 and a low of Rs 895 in trade today.
