Lupin gains 1% on tentative USFDA nod to generic Brexpiprazole

NEW DELHI: Shares of Lupin rose 1.1% in early Mumbai trading Thursday after the drug firm said it had received a tentative nod from the US health regulator for marketing of generic Brexpiprazole tablets, used as an anti-depressant, in the US market.

At 09:30 hours (IST), Lupin’s shares traded at Rs 957.70 on the National Stock Exchange, up 1.11% from previous close.

In an exchange filing, Lupin said it has bagged a tentative approval from the US Food and Drug Administration to market the generic version of Brexpiprazole tablets with strengths of 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg, 1 mg, 2, mg, 3 mg and 4 mg.
