L&T bags Rs 3500 cr gas-based power project; stock down
Larsen & Toubro has bagged Rs 3500 crore order from Chennai-based PPN Power Generating Company for setting up 3 x 360 MW gas based power plant in district Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu on EPC basis.

MUMBAI: Larsen & Toubro has bagged Rs 3500 crore order from Chennai-based PPN Power Generating Company for setting up 3 x 360 MW gas based power plant in district Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu on EPC basis.
The three units will come up as an expansion project in the same location where PPN Power Generating Company is presently operating a 330.5 MW combined cycle power plant since 2001.
The project will be executed by the gas based power projects business unit of L&T Power, based in Baroda.
However, the stock remained subdued and was at Rs 1527, down 0.12 per cent on the BSE. It touched a high of Rs 1528.80 and low of Rs 1511.95 in trade so far.
