LIC Housing Finance Ltd. shares rise 6.4% as Sensex climbs

Shares of the LIC Housing Finance Ltd. traded at Rs 287.7 on BSE at 10:46AM (IST) on Tuesday, up 6.4 per cent from previous close.

The scrip quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 186.0 and a high of Rs 586.8.

Earlier, shares of the company saw a gap up opening in the morning.


A total of 334,957 lakh shares changed hands on the counter till 10:46AM (IST).

The stock of LIC Housing Finance Ltd. commands a market value of Rs 14390.47 crore.

The stock traded at a price-to-earning (P/E) multiple of 5.38, while the price-to-book value ratio stood at 0.88. Return on equity (ROE) was at 14.9 per cent, according to exchange data.

In the BSE500 pack, 425 stocks traded in the green, while 74 stocks were in the red.

Promotor Holding
Promoters held 40.31 per cent in the LIC Housing Finance Ltd. as of 31-Mar-2020 while overseas and domestic institutional investors owned 32.32 per cent and 8.21 per cent, respectively.
