LIC Housing Finance Ltd. shares rise 2.6% as Sensex climbs

Shares of the LIC Housing Finance Ltd. traded at Rs 269.85 on BSE at 10:10AM (IST) on Tuesday, up 2.6 per cent from previous close.

The stock quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 186.0 and a high of Rs 503.0.

Earlier, the stock saw a gap up opening in the morning.


A total of 69,990 lakh shares changed hands on the counter till 10:10AM (IST).

The stock of LIC Housing Finance Ltd. commands a market value of Rs 13615.81 crore.

The stock traded at a price-to-earning (P/E) multiple of 5.66, while the price-to-book value ratio stood at 0.75. Return on equity (ROE) was at 13.16 per cent, according to exchange data.

In the BSE500 pack, 350 stocks traded in the green, while 147 stocks were in the red.

Promoters held 40.31 per cent in the LIC Housing Finance Ltd. as of 30-Jun-2020 while foreign portfolio investors and domestic institutional investors owned 34.27 per cent and 4.74 per cent, respectively.
