LIC Housing Finance Ltd. shares drop 11.52% as Sensex falls

Shares of the LIC Housing Finance Ltd. traded at Rs 224.6 on BSE at 01:58PM (IST) on Monday, down 11.52 per cent from previous close.

The scrip quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 186.0 and a high of Rs 586.8.

Earlier, the stock saw a gap up opening in the morning.


A total of 670,562 lakh shares changed hands on the counter till 01:58PM (IST).

The stock of LIC Housing Finance Ltd. commands a market value of Rs 11221.18 crore.

The stock traded at a price-to-earning (P/E) multiple of 4.19, while the price-to-book value ratio stood at 0.69. Return on equity (ROE) was at 14.9 per cent, according to exchange data.

In the BSE500 pack, 61 stocks traded in the green, while 439 stocks were in the red.

Promotor Holding
Promoters held 40.31 per cent in the LIC Housing Finance Ltd. as of 31-Mar-2020 while foreign portfolio investors and domestic institutional investors owned 32.32 per cent and 8.21 per cent, respectively.
