MUMBAI: Shares of Kingfisher Airlines moved higher after reports that the company retained the highest share of passengers in July.
The Indian aviation sector is flying high with domestic passenger traffic posting strong growth for the seventh straight month in July to 41.61 lakh, an increase of 14% from a year ago.
Kingfisher retained the highest share of the market, flying 8.15 lakh passengers in July.
The scrip was at Rs 56.25, up Rs 1.75 or 3.21 per cent on the NSE. It touched a high of Rs 57.05 and low of Rs 54.90 in trade so far on volume of 41.47 lakh shares.
