Karma Energy, LT Foods, Kopran Ltd hit 52-week highs on Wednesday

NEW DELHI: The key benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 9.85 points down at 8758.45 in the afternoon trade on Wednesday on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters ahead of RBI monetary policy outcome around 2.30 pm.

Shares of Karma Energy, LT Foods, Kopran Ltd, Future Market, Mukand Engg, Gujarat Apollo, National Fert, V2 Retail Ltd, Compuage Infocom, Sanwaria Agro hit their fresh 52-week high on NSE.

However, stocks such as JMT Auto, Raj Rayon, BSE Ltd., FCS Software and Birla Cotsyn touched their fresh 52-week low.

Overall, 29 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 22 settled were in red.

In the Nifty 50 index, ACC, Bharti Infratel, Zee Ent., Ambuja Cements, Grasim Inds., M&M, Coal India Ltd, TCS, Hindalco Inds and Tata Motors were among top gainers, while ITC, Dr Reddys Labs, Bharti Airtel, Axis Bank, Sun Pharma, NTPC and Aurobindo Pharm were among major losers in the index.

The BSE Sensex was down 54.30 points at 28280.86. Traders were seen piling up position in gems and jewellery, retail, infrastructure and auto ancillaries, while selling were visible in textiles, banks, plastics and auto sectors.
