NEW DELHI: Shares of Kalpataru Power Transmission, the country’s leading EPC player in the power sector, closed with gains of 4.74 per cent in Wednesday's trade after the company said it had bagged orders worth Rs 1,320 crore from Power Grid Corporation.

Reacting to the development, the scrip gained 9.20 per cent to hit a high of Rs 223.70 on the BSE. The stock is down 14 per cent for the year so far and is trading 17.30 times its PE on a trailing basis.

The multiple orders include transmission line supply for Gadarwara- Warora Transmission line project worth Rs 353 crore and a Rs 778 crore turnkey transmission line project of 765 KV in the Vemagiri-Chilakaluripeta sector from Power Grid’s southern division.
