Job order lifts Bajaj Electricals 8%

The scrip closed the day 9.02 per cent up at Rs 487.10 on BSE.
In a filing to the BSE, Bajaj Electricals said the unit has bagged the order under Lusaka Transmission Distribution Rehabilitation Project (LTDRP), funded by the World Bank and the European Investment Bank.
With this order win, the company got entry into the African markets, Bajaj Electricals said.
The company had reported a 13.93 per cent YoY growth in net profit at Rs 18.98 crore for the September quarter. Sales for the quarter were down 6 per cent at Rs 932.02 crore.
