JMC Projects consortium wins Rs 1,000 cr road contract

JMC Projects' consortium with SREI Infrastructure has won Rs 1,000-crore contract from NHAI.

NEW DELHI: JMC Projects today said its consortium with SREI Infrastructure has won Rs 1,000-crore contract from National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) for constructing a four-lane highway of 83 km in Haryana.

The project will be executed on a design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) basis with a concession period of 27 years, the company said in a statement.

The 83-km stretch of national highway (NH) 71 connects northern part of Haryana and North-West Punjab to NH 8 at Bawal, a major industrial town in Haryana.

"This is a great achievement for JMC projects. The government's focus on expediting road projects augurs well for our company," JMC Ltd Director Manish Mohnot said.

JMC Ltd is a subsidiary of Kalpataru Power Transmission and was founded in 1982.
