Jhunjhunwala adds IB Housing to his portfolio, picks stake worth Rs 278 crore

New Delhi: Ace investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala added Indiabulls Housing Finance to his portfolio in the June quarter of 2021.
The company's latest shareholding data showed Jhunjhunwala held 1,00,00,000 equity shares, or 2.17 per cent stake, in the leading mortgage lender as of June 30, 2021. His name was not among the key shareholders in March quarter data.
Latest data from Trendlyne showed that the Big Bull had also added Steel Authority of India (SAIL) to his portfolio and increased stakes in Federal Bank and Edelweiss Financial Services.
However, the marquee name of Dalal Street trimmed his holdings in Tata Motors, Titan Company, Autoline Industries, VIP Industries, TV18 Broadcast and Aptech.
Shares of Indiabulls Housing jumped 5 per cent to Rs 278.80 on Thursday. At current market price, Jhunjhunwala's stake in the company is worth Rs 278.8 crore.
In June, Blackrock Funds acquired additional over 25 lakh equity shares in the housing finance company, taking the total stake to over 3 per cent.
However, foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) marginally trimmed their stake in the company from 29.03 per cent in June quarter from 29.11 per cent in March quarter, while domestic mutual funds increased their stake to 2.95 per cent from 2.81 per cent.
Insurance behemoth LIC kept its stake steady at 4,58,23,723 shares, or 9.92 per cent, during the period under review.
