MUMBAI: Jain Irrigation scrip gained 2.4% today to close at Rs 68.8 as it announced inauguration of a new Food Processing unit at Jalgaon. The company commissioned 60,000 tonne per annum capacity of Individually Quick Frozen (IQF) or Block Quick Frozen (BQF) of fruits like mango, banana, pomegranate, papaya, jamun, strawberry, sapota, etc. annually.

The plant has all quality standard certifications like BRC, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 50001, Halal and Kosher, mentioned the company’s press release. The products from this IQF facility would be exported to USA, Europe, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Middle East from which the company expects to earn Rs.100 crores in foreign exchange annually.
