IRDAI officials seek spiritual intervention

The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (Irdai) is responsible for ensuring that the country’s insurance sector runs smoothly but what happens when its officials feel there are impediments to execute their roles effectively. IRDAI officials have opted to seek spiritual intervention. The cause of worry was its new headoffice in Hyderabad where they shifted two years ago.

Since they shifted to the new building in December 2017, officials believe there have been higher instances of employees either falling ill or suffering injuries due to accidents.

Some officials felt that there are Vastu defects in the new building which could be rectified by performing the “remedial puja”. It is said that they organised a puja as a remedy for the “illeffects” after the flag-hoisting ceremony on January 26.
