IRB Infrastructure falls as CBI raids sister concern

According to reports, the searches are being carried out at Aryan Infra, a sister concern of IRB Infrastructure, in Pune.

MUMBAI: Shares of IRB Infrastructure Developers were down on selling pressure on Friday on reports that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is conducting searches at the premises of the company's sister concern in connection with the murder of RTI activist Satish Shetty.

According to reports, the searches are being carried out at Aryan Infra, a sister concern of IRB Infrastructure, in Pune. The CBI is also questioning the officials of Aryan Infra.

Shetty had lodged a complaint with the Pune police’s crime branch about an alleged land scam involving IRB chairman Virendra Mhaiskar.

IRB Infrastructure officials were unavailable for comment. The company has been in news recently over its links with BJP chief Nitin Gadkari.

At 02:07 pm, the stock was at Rs 119.45, down 2.57 per cent, on the BSE. It touched a high of Rs 124.80 and a low of Rs 118.25 in trade today.
