Talk that Cubex Tubing is likely to bag an export order worth Rs 6 crore from Iran saw the counter end 9% higher on the BSE at Rs 86.75 with volumes of 1.29 lakh shares. Cubex Tubing, a manufacturer of copper and copper alloy seamless condenser tubes, bus bars and wires for critical applications in industries, has big names like NTPC, Hindalco, SAIL, Kirloskar, Siemens, etc, on its clientele. Cubex has been primarily looking at the domestic market for most of its orders. It is also mulling setting up an export-oriented unit keeping future orders in mind. According to sources, it is also looking at nearly doubling its capacity from 2800 mt to 5,000 mt. An e-mail questionnaire sent to the company failed to elicit any response till the time of going to print.
